Prajit Nanu is the co-founder and CEO of Nium. He launched the company after firsthand experience with the friction of sending money across borders. Since then, he built Nium into an institutional-grade platform for cross-border money movement – with hundreds of category leaders in banking, travel, payroll, tech and AI relying on Nium to collect, convert, send, and spend funds globally.

Beyond the CEO role, Prajit leads Nium's product strategy with a focus on embedding compliance and regulatory rigor as a competitive advantage. Under his leadership, Nium has secured licenses in 40+ markets, scaled to process USD 60+ billion in annual transaction volume, connected 190+ countries, and issues 41+ million card tokens annually. Most recently, recognizing the shift toward on-chain finance, he has driven Nium's expansion into stablecoin infrastructure partnering with the most trusted names in blockchain and built an end-to-end suite of payment capabilities connecting digital assets to real-world payments.

Prajit is an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® finalist, and Nium has been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 list for two consecutive years. He speaks regularly on fintech innovation, digital assets, AI, and the future of global payments. Prajit leads Nium out of the San Francisco office.

Andre leads Nium's global Finance, Legal, Treasury, People, and FP&A functions, supporting its next phase of growth.

A technology industry veteran with over 20 years in the Bay Area, Andre brings a rare combination of operating and advisory experience. Before joining Nium, he served as CFO at ChowNow and spent more than 15 years in technology investment banking, most recently as Global Co-Head of Internet Investment Banking at Credit Suisse. There he advised on tens of billions of dollars in debt, equity, and M&A transactions for some of the most influential internet companies of the last two decades.

Earlier in his career, Andre served as a decorated Naval Aviator and Officer in the United States Navy. He holds an MBA from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from USC.

Anupam leads Nium’s global revenue growth, overseeing partnerships and international expansion.

Prior to Nium, Anupam spent more than a decade at PayPal, where he was responsible for the P&L across Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Africa. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in establishing PayPal’s leadership across these high-growth markets, including building and launching PayPal’s India business and product platform.

Anupam brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the fintech industry. He is also a recognized thought leader, holding five patents in financial technology innovation. Most recently, before joining Nium, he served as CEO of ZaloPay, Vietnam’s second-largest e-wallet platform.

Sekhar leads all aspects of the company’s technology strategy, including core platform engineering, network resilience, and real-time payments infrastructure. With more than two decades of experience building large-scale systems that power global financial activity, he brings deep technical expertise, operational discipline, and a strong track record of scaling high-performing engineering organizations.

Prior to joining Nium, Sekhar held senior engineering leadership roles at Coinbase, Visa, FIS/Atelio, Amazon, and Symantec, where he led teams responsible for systems that move trillions of dollars and support millions of users worldwide. He is recognized for building engineering cultures focused on reliability, simplicity, and innovation at scale, helping organizations grow while maintaining resilient and secure technology foundations. Sekhar leads out of the San Francisco office.

Amaresh brings more than 25 years of experience building high-performing risk functions across emerging markets and global financial hubs. He has deep expertise navigating complex regulatory environments, including leading IPO-readiness efforts at GoTo, Southeast Asia’s largest tech listing. As we scale toward becoming the de-facto backbone of global money movement, his leadership will help strengthen the trust, resilience, and governance that underpin our growth.

Over the course of his career, Amaresh has transformed risk and compliance functions at high-growth fintechs and leading global institutions including Stripe and PayPal. Spanning banking, payments, and technology, he has built scalable frameworks that not only meet regulatory expectations but also enable innovation and expansion.

Spencer is responsible for driving the company’s global scale and operational excellence. He oversees regional business development and account management teams while partnering across finance, HR, compliance, and IT to support Nium’s continued growth as a leading embedded fintech platform powering seamless global commerce.

Prior to joining Nium, Spencer held leadership roles at British Airways and spent nearly two decades at Lufthansa’s AirPlus International, where he served as Managing Director. He joined Nium from Ixaris Group Ltd, where he was Chairman at the time of acquisition. Spencer holds a degree in Geography from Newcastle University, is a qualified CIMA Management Accountant, and a certified GTD Coach. Spencer leads Nium out of the London office.

Danielle has nearly two decades of leadership experience across fintech and technology, strengthening the company’s position as the global backbone for cross-border payments and the future of money movement. As Nium continues expanding its capabilities across cross-border and domestic payments, stablecoins, programmable and AI-driven money, and embedded finance, Danielle brings deep expertise in scaling brands and driving global growth.

Prior to joining Nium, Danielle held leadership roles at dLocal, Recurly, Feedzai, PayNearMe, and Pecan AI, where she built high-impact go-to-market strategies and led cross-functional teams through periods of transformation and expansion. She is recognized for her ability to accelerate growth, strengthen market positioning, and drive business impact across global markets. Danielle leads out of the San Francisco office.

Alma leads the company’s global people strategy and partners closely with the executive team to build a high-performing, scalable organization that supports rapid international growth.

With more than 20 years of international HR leadership experience across high-growth technology companies including Google, Groupon, and Snap Inc., Alma specializes in aligning people strategy with business objectives. Her expertise spans leadership development, talent strategy, organizational design, and building cultures that enable companies to scale successfully.

Throughout her career, Alma has lived and worked across Dublin, Singapore, San Francisco, and London, partnering closely with founders and executive teams during periods of transformation and hypergrowth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Law, a Master’s degree in Human Resources, and is C.I.P.D. certified. Alma leads Nium out of the London office.
